Upon entering Vanrakas, the very first thing you will notice is that everything seems carefully thought out and intentional.

Everything in Vanrakas starts with Nature.

Sometimes Nature reveals herself as animals; these are symbols of freedom, instinct, and life in its most basic and raw form. Sometimes she shows up as changing leaves, wind, texture, etc. And sometimes she is revealed as the rhythmic patterns found within the natural world. Some of our pieces reveal themselves through visual statements. Some of our pieces convey their meaning through word choice. There are many different ways to express ourselves as humans, but there is one common spirit among them.

The spirit behind Vanrakas by Orngroo is simply: to Celebrate Nature.

We are an apparel brand focused on creating high-quality oversized tees designed specifically for comfort, movement and daily expression. Our apparel is lightweight and breathable on warm days and large enough to give you the feeling of being unrestricted while moving. Each of them has been created to allow you to move freely without restriction.

However, comfort is only half of the equation.

Vanrakas believes that what we wear should communicate something about us-even if it's quietly. A tee can represent so much more than just fabric; it can show how we draw inspiration, what provides stability for us, and what we believe in/stand for. In Vanrakas, that statement comes directly from nature - from its beauty, its freedom, and the responsibilities we have to protect it.

Nature is endless in giving, yet asking for so little. We receive oxygen to breathe when we're tired, shade to sit in when it's hot, rain to feed the soil, trees to maintain balance throughout the Earth's ecosystems, etc. All of this is done quietly through the idea of generosity. This is why Vanrakas is intended to remind people that there is a difference between appreciating something (admiring) and taking action based on your appreciation.

Each design in Vanrakas carries intent.

Intentionally not just because they will look nice, intentionally not just because they will feel nice; but intentionally because they will say something.

Vanrakas is a collection of products designed by Orngroo and reflects its own unique rhythm of movement, air flow and openness - it is meant to be worn while engaging in activity that allows for honest connection to the elements and nature.
